He is the author of two historical novels Cartas históricas que nunca se escribieron (1999) and Hotel Tampa Bay (2005). He has published numerous investigations including La dictadura de Trujillo: documentos (6 vols compilation, 2012), Leviantan tropical: las redes clientelares de Trujillo en America Latina y el Caribe (2018), among many others.
