During the 1974 French presidential elections, candidate Valéry Giscard d'Estaing asked Raymond Depardon to document the campaign in its most minute details. The DVD also contains a bonus photo essay by American photographer David Burnett on the working relationship between Giscard d'Estaing and Depardon, as well as Depardon's first film on the suicide of student Ian Palach in 1969 at the end of the Prague Spring.
